What this is

Hot Springs Atlas is a personal wishlist of hot springs across the Rocky Mountain West, Pacific Northwest, Southwest, and Canadian Rockies, published as a free public reference. It compiles publicly available information about commercial soaks, USFS day-use pools, historic resorts, and wild roadside tubs.

What this is not

• We are not a booking platform. Every booking link goes directly to the operator. We do not take your money to book a soak.
• We are not a guide service. We provide information; you make decisions.
• We are not the operator. Cancellation policies, group rules, waivers, and clothing-optional norms are between you and them.

Data accuracy

The atlas is a personal project. Prices change, operators close, booking links break, hours shift seasonally. Always confirm the current price, hours, and reservation details with the operator before you drive.

Judgement calls (crowd levels, approach difficulty, best-for audience) are opinions, not facts. They are a starting point, not a substitute for your own research.

Wild and primitive springs

Some entries describe wild or primitive springs on public land. Conditions, access roads, and legal status can change without notice. Some require permits, some are closed by land managers seasonally, some are within tribal jurisdictions. Verify current legal access yourself before visiting any non-commercial site.

Health and safety

Hot springs can scald, harbor amoebas, contain dissolved minerals at concentrations that vary, and produce hydrogen sulfide gas in poorly ventilated rooms. Some published water temperatures are aspirational averages, not steady-state realities. People die in hot springs every year. Do your own due diligence on water quality and entry conditions; do not soak in any pool that looks unsafe.

Content ownership

The site design, written copy, and editorial judgments are ours. The underlying facts (elevation, coordinates, temperature) are publicly available and not claimed as proprietary. Operator names, logos, and descriptions belong to their respective operators. If you represent an operator and want something changed or removed, email help@hotspringsatlas.com.

No warranty

The atlas is provided as-is, with no warranty of accuracy, availability, or fitness for any particular purpose. We are not liable for any harm resulting from use of the site.
