Six stepped pools in an old-growth forest grotto, fed by a waterfall at the top. USFS fee station at trailhead ($10/person/day or $60 seasonal, pay on-site; no recreation.gov reservation). Clothing-optional by local custom, not by USFS regulation. Enforced quiet by regular soakers. Day-use only; camping must be in Cougar Recreation Area developed campgrounds. One of the two or three most-photographed hot springs in the lower 48.
