Notes

2 miles and roughly 1,350 feet up a creek canyon from the trailhead off Highway 93, 23 miles south of Salmon. First quarter mile crosses private property via an easement; dogs must be leashed through it. Dozens of stone pools stepped up the drainage, each built by locals over decades. Small waterfalls between them. Bring river sandals; the last scramble is slippery. Camping prohibited within 500 ft of the spring. Clothing-optional by local custom, not by BLM or Forest Service regulation; rangers do occasionally cite.
